About Me

About Me

I started building out of curiosity.

During COVID, I built Ghy Fights Covid, a simple resource aggregator to help people in Guwahati find hospital beds and oxygen. It reached 20,000 plus users in a month. I didn't know much about product then. I just knew people needed something that worked. That experience pulled me into building for real users, not just ideas.

Since then, I've been exploring fintech and AI, mostly by jumping in and figuring things out as I go.

At HyperVerge, I work on onboarding products for wealth and capital markets clients like IIFL, ICICI, HDFC AMC, SBI MF, and Shoonya. My job sounds straightforward. Make onboarding smoother. In practice, it means understanding compliance, sitting with ops teams, debugging failure logs, aligning with engineering, and tracking where users drop off. I care about small, real improvements. A better fallback. A clearer screen. A shorter journey.

Before that, I was part of the founding team at Mystic Labs AI, where we built India's first chat with PDF web app. We grew to 7,000 plus organic users by shipping fast and listening closely. I spoke to users, watched how they used the product, and kept iterating. Later, we launched a B2B version, AskBloc, and I worked directly with enterprise teams to understand how AI could fit into real workflows.

Across internships, I've worked on Account Aggregator integrations, pricing experiments, retention analysis, and acquisition experiments. Most of it was messy. Most of it was hands on. That's how I like learning.

I'm still figuring out what kind of founder or product builder I want to become. But I know I enjoy being close to users, close to data, and close to the actual problem.

What I'm Working On

Right now, I'm focused on:

  • Making financial onboarding less painful
  • Reducing manual effort through better product flows
  • Understanding how AI can be useful inside real workflows, not just as a demo
  • Getting better at thinking from first principles

On the side, I read, write, and think about product decisions. Why some products feel intuitive. Why others don't. Why certain ideas work at scale and others don't.

Beyond Work

Outside of product, I'm still building. Just in different ways.

I dabble with AI tools for fun. I track my personal finances obsessively. Some experiments stick. Most don't. I enjoy the process anyway.

I watch a lot of stand up comedy. And I spend an unhealthy number of hours with the boys just talking nonsense that somehow turns into life advice by 2 am.

I'm currently in my gin and tonic era. Clear drinks, clear thoughts. As I write this, I'm probably looping Fred again, Keinemusik, or Black Coffee. My playlists are somewhere on this site. If you like one, tell me. If you have recommendations, even better. I play the drums on the side too. Still learning, still loud.

All things mildly unhealthy aside, I'm into sports, running, and the gym. In that order. Invite me for something competitive and I'm in. If you're consistent with your workouts and can force me to be consistent too, we'll get along just fine.

Most of this is just another version of the same thing. Curiosity, energy, and a need to keep doing something.
